Defining inspection methods

Inspections involve procedures or methods. With this feature, define the method of inspecting a particular aspect of a piece of equipment.

Note: You cannot delete inspection method codes after associating them with inspection points or inspection aspects.

To define inspection methods:

  1. Select Work > Inspections > Methods.
  2. Click New Record.
  3. Specify this information:
    Method
    Specify a unique code identifying the inspection method, and then enter a description of the method in the adjacent field.
    Class
    Specify the class of the inspection method.
  4. Click Save Record.
