Issuing and returning parts for packages

You can issue packages with a status of Approved and return packages with a status of Issued.

  1. Select Materials > Held Items Management > Packaging.
  2. Select a package for which to issue or return parts, then right-click the screen and select Issue/Return Parts.
  3. If the status of the package is Approved, specify this information to issue the parts:
    Issued To
    Specify the employee to whom the parts are issued.
    Cost Code
    Optionally, specify the cost code with which to associate the issued parts.
    Reference Number
    Optionally, specify a reference number for the issued parts.
  4. If the status of the package is Issued, specify this information to return the parts:
    Issued To
    Specify the employee to whom the parts are issued.
    Return Qty.
    Optionally, specify the return quantity for each part.
    Reference Number
    Optionally, specify a reference number for the issued parts.
    Note: Optionally, click Fill Return Qty. to return all available parts.
  5. Click Submit.
